Candolim is one of the more practical bases for a North Goa destination wedding - good road connections, close to the airport, and enough venue options that couples aren't settling. Lillywoods Highland Beach Resort has been on Candolim Beach Road since 2004 and takes weddings from 50 to 250 guests. Manohar International Airport is 48 minutes away (32.6 km); Thivim Railway Station is 43 minutes (22.1 km). For a wedding where guests are flying and training in from different cities, both routes are usable without anyone's travel day becoming the main event.
The resort has 90 rooms across two categories - Rooms & Suites and Executive Suites. For a wedding of 150 to 200 guests, having 90 rooms on the property means most of the wedding party stays together. No coordinating hotel transfers, no guests missing the morning function because they're stuck in traffic from a hotel three kilometers away. The in-house facilities go further than most Candolim venues at this level: restaurant and bar, coffee shop, swimming pool, gymnasium, 24-hour front desk, travel desk, shopping arcade, laundry, dry cleaning, and luggage storage. Guests arriving a day early or leaving a day late have enough on-site to stay comfortable between functions.

Poolside Haldi is a listed occasion, meaning the lawn is set up for pre-wedding functions rather than treated as overflow space. For couples after a Goa open-air aesthetic without the sand and tide variables of a beachfront venue, this covers most of the same ground. The High Tide Conference Room is the indoor option - pillarless, seating 100, floating 180. A pillarless hall gives décor vendors a clean floor plan, keeps mandap placement from being a negotiation, and gives photographers unobstructed sightlines. Running functions across both spaces—haldi on the lawn, reception in the hall - means each function has its own setting rather than the same room dressed twice.
Baraats, late-night DJ, alcohol, overnight weddings, separate dining, changing rooms, and valet parking - all confirmed. An in-house DJ, caterer, and decorator are available. One thing worth clarifying before booking: the amenity listing shows Outside Catering and Outside Decor as available, but the venue FAQ states no outside vendors are permitted. That contradiction needs a direct answer from the property - especially if you have a decorator or florist already in mind. Don't assume either way; ask on the first call. Non-vegetarian catering is served.
